叵CLIP

an online art and literature publication

叵CLIP is an online magazine oriented toward experimental writing and art. We seek to make use of the internet as a space suited to inclusive discussion, international and unlikely collaboration and the publication of hybrid, process-based and non-hierarchical work.

叵CLIP speaks to the nature of addendum, the attachment of omissions. When the internet grants all and when any sustained attention is subversive, a radical curation of ephemera -the mild effects - is both refuge and reconnaissance.

We see experimentation as deviance, as the mosquito buzzing in the ear of the bishop, as the weed poking through the ivory floors of the institution. We seek to hold space for new modes of seeing emerging from our communities (our friends, friends of friends, lovers, acquaintances, teachers, mentees, sisters and brothers) both local and global, and always proliferating. We see imagination, spotanteity, play, collaboration, experimentation and process as central to cultivating diversity of vision and voice. We encourage work that is fresh, vulnerable, and in-progress, and further aim to be as accessible and personable as possible. We would also like to express our sincere feeling that publication, anywhere, is not an end, nor should it be the aim, but rather one stop on a long bus ride with a packed lunch.
